Have you tried to plug in the keybaord directly into the laptop and not via the docking station.
We have seen previous problems with some of Dell's docking stations where not enough power is sent over the ps/2 ports.
An alternate fix may also be to use a ps/2 to USB converter, as described here. We do know that older model M keyboards tend to draw more power over ps/2 than modern keyboards.

Dear clicky, I recently purchased a rare black Dell keyboard from you and am very satisfied. However, it is annoying that my laptop (Dell Latitude D620) when using the docking station, will not recognize the keyboard unless I unplug, then replug the keyboard into the docking station. Is there a software fix that will make the computer always recognize the keyboard? Thanks, Robert Higgins
